First reflection

I choose the book The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje. He is a Canadaian author whom immigrated to Canada from Sir Lanka in 1962. I decided to read this book since it has won several awards and I also have previously read few poems by him. The book symbolizes love during war and the obstacles that the patient has faced in his love life. I would think my inquiry question would be about disabilities and special needs.

  2. haha! now I'm actually going to read it and post.
I agree. I generally like to read books that have won awards or been highly recommended (since it's a good deal of time you have to invest in reading).
Your Inquiry question will evolve as you read and discuss with your group. Just keep at the back of your mind what relevance what you're reading has to do with your life and the world around you. It'll help.

  4. I didn't know that the author wrote poems, that is very interesting.

  5. I agree about the inquiry; there are several disabled and special needs students within our own school and I think in many cases they could really use our help.
