My First Memory

The first memory that I remember from my childhood was a long time ago. I barely even remember my first memory, but the one I never have forgotten and know the details really clearly, is about 9 years ago when I visited my country; Iran. Well, it was a really nice trip, but the most important part that I haven’t forgotten is me going to the hospital on the second day.
After living in Canada for 4 years, my family decided to visit our family back home. I was really excited to meet my grandparents. But, not everybody else, because I haven’t seen them before or at least I don’t remember even if I have seen. I was really nervous and anxious. But it turned out to be good and welcoming. There were lots of people that came to meet my family. I couldn’t imagine that my parents have this many siblings and families.
After arriving, we went to my grandparents’ house, and met more people. I was really tired and exhausted. But, when I found out that my grandparents’ have a small pool, I decided to go. My cousin joined me. And she had this unusual idea. It was to enter the pool empty, and play soccer and after we‘re done we would fill it with water and swim. I liked the idea just because it was really silly. Therefore, I started playing and soon after found out that the ground is really slippery. As a result, suddenly when I was kicking I fell and hit my head on the floor. The floor was made of mosaic.
Everybody was worried at that moment. I was hurt and injured, but it wasn’t too serious.  Subsequently, I come out of the pool and ate my dinner. Accordingly, to my long flight and my pool experience I fall asleep right after dinner. The next morning I was waked up by my mom and grandma. Due to the fact, that I have slept too much and maybe it’s affected by my head hitting the ground. Hence, they took me to the hospital to make sure everything is fine. And a whole group was joined with them to just take me to the hospital. After getting checked by the doctor, everything was fine and the only reason why I slept for 20 hours was because I was tired. Soon after we went home, and I saw a team of worried people in my grandparents’ house. I was shocked. And didn’t knew that everybody loves me so much. I felt special. And if I knew that my family loves this greatly, I would’ve came to visit them sooner and knock my head harder.
This was one of my first memories that I remember. I don’t think I will ever forget this journey to Iran. It made me realize, what a great family I have and even if I’m miles away they will still think about me. My successes and failures will change their emotions. And this is what matters and is important. I won’t ever forget them because they are my family. And I thank them and love them.
